Ode to the Bouncer

For me it has felt like I haven't listened any new music in ages - most of the bands I like are either older than I am, or they have already broke up - and I feel like and old fart even though I'm only 21.

So I'm really pleased that I found something brand new and interesting to follow, and I'm of course talking about Studio Killers, which is based on much like Gorillaz around fictive singer + mucisians aka Chubby Cherry, Fox and Mink. Which is really interesting, and liberates them to do somewhat over the top music, as you can listen from their first single Ode to the Bouncer. That song would have completely different aura to it if was performed by "real people". Under act it's more like satire, a fantasy or both.

No one actually knows for sure who the people behind Studio Killers are, but if the singer isn't Finnish Teemu Brunila I promise to eat my own hat, as I've listened his old band The Crash SO MUCH I would be so humiliated if I didn't know his voice right.

Oh, huw much I loved The Crash <3 I was devastated when they broke up. I cannot decribe by words how much I adore their thrisd record Melodrama, I listened it like 24/7 in the year of 2003.

I don't know yet will Studio Killers be as good as The Crash was for me, or will I even like their stuff in the future, but the beginnigh seems interesting, and I'm glad to have something new to be interested about.
